After a six year tenure at Studio Dumbar Ton started his own design firm in 1991. As he was a key designer in the development of the PTT Nederland brand identity they commissioned Ton to develop a ‘logo implementation guideline’. “The brief was to design a poster, but I thought the PTT marketing and print managers would not want to lug a big poster around to press checkes, so I developed this nifty pocket version. Using the slider it shows which logo version should be used for a specific application: buildings, fleet, stationery etc.”. PTT Logowijzer means logo wiser/smarter as well as giving direction/guidance.
